BNT protests on Independence Day in Pakistan
On August 14 while the ruling class was celebrating Independence Day the Unemployed Youth Movement (BNT) held protest throughout the country under the main slogan "jab tak janta bhooki hay, yeh azadi jhooti hay" which means that until the people are hungry this independence is a fake. The protests were held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Khairpur Mirus, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Addu, Multan, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Islamabad, Wah, Attock, Rawalakot, Palandri and Muzaffarabad. Camps were held in Bannu, Sadiqabad, Rahim yar Khan and Sargodha.
