My Birthday - Sept 1 '07

My friends just couldn't bear the thought of me spending my birthday alone so they insisted I have a party. I'm not really sure how I managed to make and keep such amazing people in my life, but I'm glad that they staythere! Thanks Melissa, Gretchen, and Nicole!! :) :)

Williwaw hike - Aug 10 '07

After being stuck in a weather port for a week in the rain, I took a 5 hour hike up in the Chugach to refresh my body and my soul. Jackelen family trip to the Wrangells - July 2-6 '07

I was inducted into the Jackelen family for their annual death-defying trip to Alaska. We were flown into Lakina valley and then using our extraordinary route finding skills, we made our way into Hidden Creek Valley. The photos of the glaciers were taken on the last day when we were flown back to McCarthy. Trip to Homer & Seldovia - June 21-22 '07

Jill Prewitt and I headed down to Homer for Carrie and Kevin Eischens wedding on June 21. The next day we took a water taxi to the small fishing village of Seldovia (~1.5 hr ferry ride). Walk up Turnagain Arm with Nicole - June 16 '07

Nicole & I strolled in our sandals to a gorgeous view point above Turnagain Arm and promptly opened up some brewskis to take in the stunning scenery. Wildflowers were out in full force, a great day all around. Hiking to Wolverine Peak with Gretchen & Stacy - June 15 '07

On a gorgeous Friday night me, Gretchen, and Stacy headed up to Wolverine Peak in the Chugach. At the top we shared a picnic of smoked salmon, other munchies, and beer.
