Where we should go to? Where could hide the Lost city of Z?
The map by Harold Wilkins from 1946 shows the Mato Grosso as desolate and unexplored area. The towers with cold lights lay somewhere between Kuliseu a Kuluene rivers.
Currently you don´t need to cut the way through the jungle. You can go there by the off road car.
Most dangerous were the putrid bridges over the fierce rivers.
Somewhere here, in the center of the jungle the Lost city could lay.
In Mato Grosso remains a small area of right jungle only.
The pastures seized most of the country now.
Pavel Stepan flied over country with his motor propelled parachute, but he didn´t found the ruins.
We were invited to the village of Xavante indians where they celebrate us with the dance.
Casique (the chief) of the village talked their legends, but he refused to talk about the bat indians (morcegos).
If you see the indian´s childern you don´t belive that Xavante is the most agressive and dangerous indian tribe.
Mysterious lake Lagoa Encantada. The Xavante people believe that bad spirits dwell at the bottom in the lake and strange light balls emerge from lake.
Divers Marcelo Barreto Borges and Carlos Manoel Ferreira from Cuiaba explored the lake.
Here in Roncador Mountain are supposedly the entrences to the underground realm of Ibez (Agharti), and UFO frequently appears here.
It is beautiful country full of rocky slopes…
…fierce rivers and waterfalls…
…and eery nooks.
One of the underground tunel crops out somewhere here, below the rock with name God finger.
We found the cave, but the passage was not too long.
Roncador mountain is supposedly full of caves, but to find the entrences isn´t easy. The motor propelled parachute was good help in exploring area.
We realy found some caves.
We fawn through the labyrinth of passages…
…but finaly all made narrow, so that we were not abel to penetrate futher.
The cave Aroe Jari was large, but still long ago explored, and visited by tourists now.
The near cave Lagoa Azul contains the big underground lake similar to the lake in Xavante indian reservation, where the light ball appears above.
On the walls of some caves are the strange carvings and prints. Brazilian ufologists belive that it proves the work of extraterestrials.
Especially the footprints with six toes.
In the cave Pezinho near Barra do Garcas are six toes footprints wholly clear.
But there are the footprints with three or four toes too.
Similar carvings and characters we found in the cave still unknow to explorers. It is in the area of indian reservation inaccessible for people. We were the first whites who has seen them.
Archeologist Honza Hrdina drew all this character on the paper.
President of Brazilian ufological society Ataide Ferreira propounded many evidences of extraterrestrial visits in Roncador mountains.
He showed us a stone discs supposedly illustrative the flying saucers.
They realy were similar to the flying saucers.
The strange mummy of creature has been most interesting for us. Ataide claims it is the mysterious morcego - the guard of entrences to the underground city.
When we compared all informations we have collected about morcegos, we came to another conclusion.
The strange mummy can be rather the creature „troa“ from local legends. The critter is unknown to cryptozoologists yet. It don´t looks believably and unfortunately we didn´t had to explore it.
We saw the stone balls which supposedly produce the cold light, but they remains gloomy in the dark.
At the end we tucked in with Brasilian food.
