This headstone is in the churchyard of the Church of England in Wray. There is a photogrpah of Thomas and Elizabeth's five girls also in this Google album.
This grave can be found in the churchyard at Wray Church of England. James worked in the silk mill at Wray and lived with his family on the main street. Later in his life the family lived next door to the George and Dragon public house. His daughter Esther was a teacher at the Elementary School in Wray.
Grave stone in All Saints, Habergham Eaves, Burnley. This grave stone is just 100yards away from where William lived with his father, 2nd wife and his brothers, sisters and step brothers and sisters, 10 in total! Fred Swindlehurst was born just opposite the church. There is now an additional inscription to the stone in memory of Colin Swindlehurst, son of Fred, who died in Canada on 26th February 2005.

Henry (later known as Arthur) Swindlehurst 1862-1916. He was the son of Robert Swindlehurst and Elizabeth (Betty) Henshaw. Robert's father was Henry Swindlehurst who is priving to be elusive and difficult to pin down!

Amelia Swindlehurst 1859 - 1949 Amelia Swindlehurst was born in Haslingden, Lancashire, England & emigrated to Beaver, Utah in 1868. She married Joseph Anthony Smith in Sept 1883.

Charlotte Smith (nee Swindlehurst) 1857-1940 and her family Charlotte Swindlehurst was born in Baxenden. Haslingden, the daughter of John Swindlehurst and his 2nd wife Matilda Rothwell. John. Matilda and their children became Latter Day Saints and emigrated to Utah in the 1860s. Charlotte married John Andrew Smith in 1878. They had 8 children - from eldest to youngest - John Thomas, Ida, Mae, Ettie, Edwin, Albert Thomas, Gilbert Thomas and Leroy. This photogrpah was taken c1905.
Edwin Swindlehurst b1864 in Blackburn and his wife Mary Jane Cartwright and son Bert. (Note from Dy here – I don’t know of a Bert/Albert as son to Edwin but he did have a son Edwin so perhaps they called him Bert to differentiate between father and son)
Joseph Rothwell Swindlehurst b1871 in Utah. He married Mary Ann Salina Neilson in Jan 1894.
Sophia Dean nee Swindlehurst b1854 in Haslingden and husband Heber C. Dean. They married in 1879 in Utah and had 8 children.
Thomas Wilford Swindlehurst b 1867 and his wife Sarah Emma (Sadie) Law and family. The names of the children are not known at this moment in time.
