Norwood Fire Safety 2008
Fire safety and education fair held surrounding concerns at the Norwood Apartments in Washington, DC. The DC Fire Department, Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs, LEDC, TENAC and Councilman Kwame Brown participated to raise awareness about fire safety in apartment buildings. On April 12, 2008, 46 malfunctioning smoke detecotrs in the Norwood and an adjoining building were replaced by the fire department. Volunteers from Best Buy helped canvas the Norwood to inform tenants about crucial fire safety information.
