This shot WAS planned. Taken with my 'trainer' Rollei full manual film SLR and scanned into digital.
I love being in the middle of these massive schools of jacks!
Had to wake up early for Machu Picchu that morning, but was rewarded with this amazing dawn light over beautiful Cusco.
I actually took this because I saw that little kid wandering onto the train tracks!
I just love the pig head at bottom right!!
Another perfect unplanned shot. I saw this wonderful sunset as I was driving off from a conference in San Diego.
Love the colors, plus I simply cannot resist these harbour/ boat shots!
Again, not sure why this is even here, but this shot always gives me a peaceful, calm feeling....
The insanely picturesque Santorini at sunset....
Taken with the lovely Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG Macro lens.
This shot wasn't planned...I just happened to be there, liked what I saw, set up the camera, and just pressed the shutter! =)
City of lanterns.....Hoi An, Vietnam.
Can you imagine this was taken with a P&S? One of the reasons why I love Manado...the incredible sunsets!
I swear this was not posed. These kids were just fooling around, I just composed and pressed the shutter....
Taken on my 38th birthday at the Ritz Carlton, 2007.
It was not easy, but it wasn't as difficult as I had imagined...
Care to guess how I took this photo? Trust me, it's entirely by accident!
A beautiful Madrid twilight shot.
One of the many highlights of my Spain trip....the Mezquita at Cordoba.
The obligatory reflection shot...
Photoshop made this otherwise blah shot nice.
I love the backlighting on Bani, the lead singer of local prog-rock band B-Quartet.
Who says you can't shoot into the sun and that flare is bad??? Another serendipity shot.
Akihabara, at almost the exact spot where the fatal stabbings took place 2 months later.
Trust the Japanese to make cute and pretty something so morbid!
Octopus, Tsukiji Market, Tokyo, Japan.
It's not even focused right, but I just love the feeling of speed and movement in this shot.
I love this shot...made even nicer by the tilt-shift effect I added!
How's this for a perfect catch? The 1st 2 streakers of the 2008 HK Sevens.
Don't you just love that wig and that spontaneous smile?
This was from a long time ago....I came close to trashing it many times, but it gradually grew on me.
My first Harlequin shrimp shot...a little blown, but still my favourite!
Taken with a lowly 70-200 f4 non IS lens...not bad eh?
Not easy, these F1 shots. In the end I had use manual focusing cos it was too fast for AF, plus had to shoot wide open thru the grilles. Not a bad result, you think?
My wallpaper shot!
My favorite part of this shot is the drape of Lena's arms!
Radiant morning light on radiant Lena.
Not sure why this is here...a bit of a cliche shot....
Took a few tries, but managed to get the shot I wanted, movement and all....
The indescribable beauty of these little underwater creatures....
Self portrait?
My latest baby! Isn't she a beauty?
The highlight shot of the Italy trip. Warm dusk light on a pretty town.
No single photo can capture the splendor of the Firenze Duomo.
Ah..the cliched spiral staircase shot!!!
Way too late for optimal light, but I still kinda like how this turned out.
I must have unknowingly rotated the camera while taking this...love the effect!
The more I look at this shot the more I like it...
Traffic lights a la Miro
Trying out 'Out Of Focus' photography....
Check out the blade shaped aperture of the Hexanon 40/1.8 lens.
'Silhouettes'
How's this for 'bokeh'? =)
Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 12 Jan 2010

Yes, soon I'll tire of such inane shots!!!
'Plastic'
'Blotch'
Marina Bay at dusk from the MBS Sky Park Observation Deck. Spectacular!
The Singapore CBD area at dusk. It is pretty, isn't it?
Beautiful twilight over Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Just love the warm christmas colours of this cliche shot.
Sydney Harbour, as viewed from Taronga Zoo, with my new favourite 'antique' effect.
Singapore sunset.
Antique Firenze.
Taken with my lowly HTC Desire cellphone!!!
Timeless Firenze.
I've had a couple of fancier, more expensive guitars, but when this little Martin SPD-16 Koa arrived, the others were quickly forgotten!
Check out my new old (circa 1970) Heuer Autavia 1163MH! This contains the world's first automatic chronograph movement, the Cal 11.
My latest love, an early 1970 Cal.11 Heuer Monaco 1133G. It's amazing how the gunmetal silver dial changes colour with different light - from silver, to grey, to almost black.
My lovely pair of vintage Cal.11 Heuers, both dating to 1970, the Autavia 1163MH on the Lt, and the Monaco 1133G on the Rt.
My trio of watches dating to 1970!!
My battle scarred 'moonwatch' - a '69 c861 Speedmaster dating to 29 Jan 1970.
The Speedy never did it for me, so when the opportunity came about to trade it with this Autavia 1163GMT, who was I to say no?
It took me a long time to hunt one down - a classic Zenith El Primero A384 - with the world's first automatic chronograph movement, the cal.3019.
My latest and newest acquisition - an Autavia 11630P, cal.12.
And here they all are!
