Knobs and totes often need to be refurbished. Here the knob has been stripped, and the tote needs stripping.
Both the knob and the totehave been stripped and sanded smooth.
Getting the correct rosewood color is easy. I use red and blue analine dyes to get a dark purple color on the wood.
The dark purple wood is the given a thin coat of garnet shellac. The final finish is clear lacquer.
