Stephen King "11-22-63" Book Tour Stop In Dallas, TX

WHO: Stephen King will be front and center at a fundraiser at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas on Thursday, November 10, benefiting The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. A short, by reservation only press conference with King will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Majestic. WHAT: In Stephen King’s latest novel 11/22/63, on shelves November 8, the book’s main character travels back in time on a mission to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. While Dallas is one of five stops on the 11/22/63 book tour, it is the only city in which King will participate in a fund raiser. Very seldom does he make public appearances. "Puss in Boots" Red Carpet Event

Employees of the Gaylord Texan Resort in the Dallas, TX-area were lucky enough to be treated to an exclusive screening of the upcoming family film “Puss in Boots.” Most people reading this are thinking, “Yeah, so? These advance screenings happen all the time.” Not with actors Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in attendance they don’t. The Gaylord Texan Resort hosted the “Puss in Boots” movie premiere and gave employees the chance to meet and greet their favorite characters from a few different DreamWorks family favorites. After the festivities at the Gaylord Texan Resort wrapped up, it was time for a red carpet entry into the AMC Grapevine Mills 30 Theater to see a special advance screening of “Puss in Boots” with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek attending. The actors showed up to the theater ready to greet fans and the press with big smiles.

Dallas Fan Days 2011

The annual Dallas Fan Days 2011 took place this past weekend. The event was the second one C2 Ventures has held at the Irving Convention Center and it proved to be a success. Thousands of fans packed into the venue to meet and greet their pick of "Star Wars," "Star Trek," "Battlestar Galactica," or "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" celebrities. Also on hand were high-profile comic book artists and writers like Jim Steranko.

"Real Steel" Dallas Cowboys Stadium Event

As the Dallas Cowboys began losing the football game they were playing on Sunday, they might have thought about seeking help from one special attendee hanging out in their stadium’s AT&T Plaza. DreamWorks Pictures and Legendary Efx were on-hand exhibiting their massive fighting robot Ambush from the upcoming film “Real Steel.” I’d be more than willing to bet that Ambush could have made some touchdowns for the team.

I was sitting one evening talking to my father when he revealed to me that no more than 35 minutes away from my hometown they were shooting scenes for the upcoming “Superman: Man of Steel” movie.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" Advance Screening Images

The advance screening of “Captain America: The First Avenger” had Dallas, TX-area moviegoers and comic book fans lined up by the hundreds as early as 1:00pm at the Cinemark West Plano Theater. The movie had to be shown in two theaters because of the response to pass giveaways on area movie websites and through the newspaper. You could see the excitement in the eyes of every parent and child waiting eagerly to see if they would be lucky enough to get in.
