Mittel Aletsch Glacier
One of the 3 sources of the Aletsch Glacier
It flows 20m per year.
The moraines (2 dirt marks) are where two different glaciers met to form the bigger Aletsch glacier. In total 3 glaciers (2 moraines) flow into the Aletsch glacier.
That's the path we'll take. See the wires?
Mittel Aletsch was a 4th glacier flowing into the big Aletsch glacier, but not anymore, it's almost gone today.
We came from up there.
