Dino Patti Djalal Visit
Dino Patti Djalal, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States and Haryo Winarso, Education Attachè, visited The Ohio State University on May 23 and 24, 2012 to discuss collaboration with university leaders. Dr. Djalal and Dr. Winsaro met with faculty members in the College of Education and Human Ecology, interacted with Ohio State students from Indonesia and learned about the university's global initiative during a meeting with William Brustein, vice provost for global strategies and international affairs. Ambassador Djalal learned about Ohio State education and human ecology programs through discussions with Cheryl Achterberg, Jackie Blount, Caroline Clark, Sue Dechow, Lucila Rudge and Tati Durriyah. Djalal also gave a lecture, "The trends of growing optimisms in the emerging economies including Indonesia: Facts, examples, and analysis of what the trends could mean for the future state of international relations" in Ramseyer Hall.
