When I got a call from Terry about her angry bees in her back yard coming out of a trash can, this is what I found.
Another view of their trash can, which is half full of yard clippings.
Close up, the entrance of the natural hive.
With a veil and gloves on, and a smoker on, I approached the trash can and lifted it up to see what is inside. This is what I found. They haven't capped the honey yet, still working on their combs. They were not happy to see me.
Unfortunately due to lifting of the flimsy trash can top, the combs started to fall into the can.
There was no choice but to allow the combs to fall, this is how it looked when the can top was opened. Nice beautiful combs filled with dark honey
Fallen comb. You can see pollen collected and stored as yellow on the left of the picture.
I started picking up the combs and attaching it to the frames I had brought along with rubber bands.
More combs and hundreds of bees!
Another close up.
Bees, bees, everywhere!
After all the combs were in the new hive, I have tilted the bin so that the bees can come back to their new home, and left the can there over night.
Another view of the can top.
Coming to think of it, I should have put the cloth first and then make them come into the hive
Bees were congregating on the can still.
