First Shots with Extension Tubes
Taking so time out from homework (haha) to try my latest photo gear acquisition, the Kenko DG Extension Tube set. The set includes a 12mm, 20mm, and 36mm tube which can be stacked or used individually. By placing your lens element further from the camera's sensor, you are able to focus your lens much closer than the default focal distance. At around $270, an extension tube set is a great option for photographers looking to get in close without shelling out big $ for a macro lens. That said, if you already have a macro-capable lens, the set can enhance your experience further.
