Entrance to the town belt: greenspace that snakes through the town. 25% extra hobbit.
The road from Courtenay Place. Steeper than it looks.
Wellington through some trees. Still near the entrance. Time to run up the hill behind me.
This is looking towards the airport while I catch my breath after jogging up the bloody hill.
See. I walked from way over there. Near the top right.
And it was worth it! A radio tower. Oooh.
22 days early.
I walked over there one day. Lyall bay, Island bay. All along to coast from right to left. Not a single coffee shop or restaurant on the waterfront.
The edge of Petone over there. Lower Hutt. And some ship that was doing doughnuts in the harbour.
Another airport shot. That little gray strip of land over there is it. This landing strip is used in flight training simulators all over the world because it's so difficult.
One more for good luck.
Miramar, Seatoune area over there.
Petone
More Wellington. Sick of it yet?
Terraced building site. Another precarious house will be here soon.
Some history on a less-than-photogenic plaque.
Ottawa is only 9km away? Who knew?
This is the rest of the distance-dial.
The face behind the name.
Eastbourne. Which is to the right of Petone and Lower Hutt. That island there is a wildlife sanctuary I believe.
