Queenstown sunrise.
Remarkables sunrise.
Entering the Fjordland National Park.
The other side of the road at the entrance.
That's where we're headed.
Mirror Lakes sign. The rain was starting...
Mirror Lakes view.
Rainbow at Mirror Lakes. (on the left)
Close-up of the Mirror Lakes mountains.
Looking west into the park from Mirror Lakes.
Cliffs near Homer Tunnel.
Waiting at the entrance to Homer Tunnel (one-lane with a stop-light). Looking away from the tunnel.
Hard to tell, but I'm standing on a bridge above a waterfall that's pouring through rounded holes in the rocks. It's raining hard too...
Above the waterfall.
Bus stop at the Milford Cruise departure point.
More bus stop.
Cruise port.
Another boat on a cruise.
Looking back at the dock.
Same dock. Different angle.
The boat zipping away from port.
One of many waterfalls.
Tons of views like this.
And this.
All those white lines on the cliff are waterfalls. No topsoil means waterfalls when it rains.
Waterfalls.
Another fiordish view.
A good view spoiled by fog and cloud.
It rains more than 300 days/year here.
So this was a typical day.
That's water falling off the roof on the top level of our boat.
We're about to go under that...time to find better shelter.
Oops. Too late. Had to wipe the lense off countless times on this trip.
View from inside the shelter on the top of our boat.
Same falls.
There's peaks up there somewhere.
I think I see the Loch Ness monster!
What a bad view. All those mountains in the way.
This is looking back where we came from. There was no shelter from the rain to look forward.
Getting closer to open sea where the water is rougher.
Beautiful weather.
More waterfalls.
Apparently fishing is good here.
You need a boat though. Can't fish from the shore in protected land.
No pictures from the open sea since the boat was rocking too much.
The falls got my camera. Again.
Steep cliffs.
Another boat chasing us.
Still following.
I want to go kayaking out here.
Foggy mountains.
Waterfall fingers.
There's popular peak called “mitre peak” around here somewhere, but it was too cloudy to see it properly.
Almost at the end.
Nearly at the dock now. That's it. Putting the camera away.
