Day 1 - Lisa removing part of wall to get linen closet out.
Day 1 - Try not to step here.
Day 1 - We got the linen cabinet out, part of the vanity is now removed.
Day 1 - The other side of the half wall.
Day 2 - With wall gone, outlets and switches will have to dangle for a bit. Skylight trim gone. Room is certainly larger now.
Day 2 - Dangling electrifier.
Day 2 - Looking good without the wall.
Day 2 - I couldn't get the last 2x4 down, it's attached to something else in ceiling. Think I'll just leave it there for the experts.
Day 3 - Vanity removed, shower doors and frame gone. Didn't realize the shower walls were also manufactured marble like the vanity top. But it breaks easy enough.
Day 3 - That's what the show surround looks like after a sledge hammer.
Day 3 - The adhesive they used to attach surround smells pretty putrid.
Day 3 - Vanity vanished.
Day 3 - The idiots who put in our tile put it right on top of the linoleum that was already there. The upside: it's been very easy to pull up the tile.
Day 4 - When you lay tile on top of linoleum, it comes up VERY easily. Mike Holmes would be shaking his head right about now. (Ignore the hole in the slab.)
Day 4 - Shower now demolished. The hole in the floor was a surprise.
Day 4 - The source of our grandma's basement smell - the shower pan had a crack in it and water was settling in this hole in the slab. Oy.
Day 4 - Tile removed.
Day 4 - I left the drywall on the floor to cover the floor duct. Such an odd duct...
Day 4 - ...the duct I don't know how this will be handled.
Day 4 - Closet. We've left the shelf, it's in good shape and should be able to work with it later. If not, I'll get rid of it.
Day 4 - All cleaned up, toilet hole plugged, everything should be ready for the contractor.
