PGCGS 40th Anniv 26 Sep 2009

Prince George's County Genealogical Society (PGCGS) [Prince George's County, Maryland]: 40th anniversary. Founded in 1969, PGCGS is the oldest Maryland county genealogical society in continuous existence. Jonathan Talbot visits The Queen's Ink, Savage Mill, Savage, Maryland

Patti EULER, artist-owner of Queen's Ink, located in Old Savage Mill in Savage MD, & well-known collage artist & author Jonathan TALBOT held a free lecture/demonstration featuring Jonathan. In his engrossing, compact multimedia presentation, Jonathan managed to touch on much of his own artistic history, process, & innovative collage techniques while simultaneously engaging with audience members & answering myriads of questions. Participants' comments, smiles, and book purchases, suggest that the evening was a shining success all round. Thanks go out to Patti & Jonathan for sharing such a professional, entertaining, and educational event with our local arts community. Both have a candor & generosity of spirit that inspires artists at all levels of the journey. Old Rockwood City Cemetery, Roane County, Tn

The Pioneer Memorial is located in Rockwood Memorial Park, formerly the old city cemetery. The park, poorly maintained in 2003 when I made the photos in this album, is located a block off Kingston Ave, on East Rockwood Street. The park was dedicated 30 May 1966.
