Triples roomie Ed updating his blog. Zero got his own room for some reason so it was just Ed and I in the room last night.

Bob, Gerard, Leigh and I rode the first 33 miles to the SAG stop at leisurely pace today.

Rt 50 runs straight and long. Just resurfaced which was wonderful!
First SAG stop was at a very pleasant rest area.
Made it to the grat state of Kansas. Everyone got a good chuckle when the water bottles drenched me and all the stuff fell out of my front bag. Oh well -- the price of getting that perfext shot.

Michelle stopped at the 68 mile mark to refill our water bottles and to let us know that the advertised DQ 10 miles away had shut down. Now, THAT is bad news when its close to 100 degrees and the prospect of a root beer float has kept you going.

4 hours, 57 minutes and 12 seconds. Never did that and likely never will again!
Lots of road construction again as we approach Garden CIty.
