Robert Ditty's Demo 15/11/11

Yet another successful night provided by Robert, Bob and Roberta at Robert Ditty's Castledawson bakery. Some 50 guests were present for the demo with lots of tasting during the show and a sit-down meal afterwards. All proceeds go to G.I.F.T International RANDBKA's adopted charity.

RANDBKA'S TRIP TO KENYA AUGUST 2011

Randalstown and District Beekeepers Association members were invited, by our chosen charity GIFT International, to accompany them on a visit to some of their projects in rural Kenya. Thesere just a few of the thousands of photographs the were taken during the trip!

Camellias and Cream Tea at Shane's Castle, Antrim

RANDBKA hosted a visit to the newly refurbished Camellia House at Shane's Castle Antrim. The invitation, by ticket only, included Cream Tea in the old Station House and a conducted tour by our association president, Lord O'Neill. The event was in aid of G.I.F.T. International, a local charity which aids the Asali Kenya Project. Cake stalls, Honey stalls and beauty products were present and an estimated 300 people enjoyed the beautiful weather and surroundings.

Dr Jamie and Amanda Ellis came to Northern Ireland as guests of Michael Young, RANDBKA member and Chairman of INIB. During their brief visit they gave talks to NI Beekeepers on three separate occasions - Mid Ulster, INIB and on Thursday 15th to a joint meeting hosted by RANDBKA and MABKA at the Arches Community Centre.
