Fay Henderson and Lorrie Ledwell , Dragons Abreast Gold Coast, receiving the winners trophy from Mayor Ron Clarke after winning the Marothon race from Paradise Point to Sanctuary Cove fund raising event for prostate cancer. A wonderful day was had by all.
We made it all the way, exhausted but proud.
DAGC winning ( by 2 second only) the New Zealand Nationals Pink Challenge Title, which was held on Lake Pupuke, Takapuna, Auckland in April 2008. The host team "Busting With Life" were in 2nd place, it was a really close and very exciting race. Our team competed against 6 other teams from throughout NZ. DAGC competed in "9" 500 mt races over one day, no easy task at all, congratulations to every one.
This is our wonderful sweep, Lorrie Ledwell DAGC, taken during the very emotional flowers on the water ceremony on Lake Pupuke, Takapuna, Auckland at NZ National Titles in April 2008.
