On Sunday 22nd March 2009 'Intrepid' was Blessed and welcomed by the people of Ballarat, family and friends of Dragons Abreast Ballarat, and other Dragons Abreast friends. It was a most moving ceremony, specially for the Angels Abreast families. The plaques on the bulwark of the boat were covered with sprays of flowers and each family representative unveiled the plaque of their loved one.

Ballarat Dragons Abreast have been so luck;y that one of our members is the well known talented local artist Pam Farey who volunteered to paint the head and tail for our new boat the Intreped. Pam is shown here with the vibrantly coloured head and tail which reflect the imagination and thought that Pam has been prepared to put into this important task. Pam has also designed a stunning stencil to put on our paddles.

I've included a few very sad pics of "Lake Wendouree" - our valiant Ballarat team is certainly challenged - but is hopefully finishing their boat & enquiring about paddles - somehow I think a rainmaker is a priority!
