"True. Hadn't thought of that, though most want the toasted marshmallow, not just melted.  Or at least I do."

"Well, you could try though i wouldn't advise it there. Not quite hot enough there to actually roast them. Just make them warm and melt them."

"Noo! It works quite well but doesn't get that hot around the vent through the wood.  Make a great hot plate right above the fire but the exhaust radiates the heat quickly after that."
