Here we go!
Out onto the big waters
Our buddy boat. They also hit 6 locations, each different than ours.
Our boat is faster!
Starting to "fish"... the current's on!
A big carp got hit. He'll revive shortly and swim away.
The horizonal bar has 3 cables hanging from it that carry the current to the water.
There's one we may need to net. It could be a bass.
Yes, it's a small bass.
Each fish is measured for length.
And weighed... all data is input into a handheld computer.
Waiting to be sized up.
Some get frisky!
Here's one that decided to give up it's last meal, a shad minnow.
A nice bass, over 5 pounds.
Pretty picture. He's back in the lake now; you might catch him some day.
All sport fish are netted. This one's little.
See how small.
Off to another location...
Looking back at the Interstate 40 bridge.
Nice scenery.
Another bass is netted.
Off to another location.
Ready to dip. You have to be quick.
Here's the other boat. The guy in front is looking for fish that have come to the top to be netted.
A another nice bass
Another nice largemouth.
All fish are examined for health and parasites.
I think that's a carp. Let her be.
Another trash fish.
High water has got among these trees.
A nice looking crappie.
Fish stay in the livewell until time to be measured and released.
Here we come.
A big bass being measured.
Healthy and ready to go back home.
Another fish is stunned... see it?
A crappie is netted.
We saw more bass than any other species.
A pretty black crappie.
All total we shocked up 181 total sport fish. Most were largemouth bass, a handful of crappie, and a few walleye and sauger.
