"If I wanted to purchase some of these, or prints of some of these, how could I do that? Would you contact me, please?"
Rainne Knight
"This container was a gift that I made and gifted back to the same person because I found out that it was actually an expensive piece of scientific equipment. I had a terrarium workshop with some people who worked in a lab and they told me that the sandblasted openings always jack up the price . I did manage to stuff some moss and a tiny polymer clay alien into the small openings though and I just loved working with the shape of this Victorian steampunk sort of thing."

"Thanks Jason for the +1! This is a succulent planter with dried moss satellites and an original polymer clay alien and alien plants. I also used glass beads and aquarium rocks as ground cover"

"heheheh- ya gotta love that corny cowboy art! It's just too easy to mock...speaking as a girl who grew up in Canadian Cowboy Land (Alberta)."

"My favorite, too. My Dad and brother have tons of corny cowboy art, and this makes me happy."

"Thanks Mary and Charles! Did you see the picture before I mucked with it? https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/0ID0ZtFqe_ura6xC28MQ2NMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink
Here is a link to the series with before and after scans: ThriftPix | 107456746248882105950
the pictures are all very small- about 3" X 4"
The series explores the notion of extra terrestrials coming to Earth for their holidays and what activities they might get up to. Humans sometimes go to dude ranches for a vacation- why can't an alien come to the same dude ranch to rope cowboys rather than calves?"

"Hi Don- Thanks for asking! I make the little aliens out of polymer clay, Fimo....It is colored clay that you bake at 230 degrees to harden it. That seems to be low enough that I don't melt the hard plastic of the army guy toys (those I got from the dollar store)"

"what do you use to make your little creaturea"
Donald Barnes
"p.s. succulents don't like living under glass like that very much- all of those plants died even though i had the perfect soil mix in there for them. The lithops (ones that look like stones) and the air plants especially like an air current over them....sigh. They looked good for a little while though."
