Intel Oregon Celebrates Employee Donors, Volunteers
Intel supports employees and retirees giving their time and talent to qualified schools and non-profit organizations while making our communities a better place to live, work and play.
Over 6,500 Intel employees/retirees donated 235,800 volunteer hours to 350 non-profit organizations in 2008, garnering $1 million in grants from the Intel Foundation under the Intel Involved Matching Grant Program.
On May 15, 2009, Intel Oregon presented donation checks of up to $10,000 apiece to some key recipients, including: American Red Cross; Willamette West Habitat for Humanity; Oregon Food Bank; SOLV; Hillsboro Parks and Recreation; Oregon Humane Society; Junior Achievement; Social Venture Partners Portland; and Hands on Greater Portland; and United Way of the Columbia-Willamette.
