"To shoot lightnings, set very long exposure times to increase the chances to catch one lightning, and small diaphram aperture to compensate so that the picture is not overexposed. This picture metadata say it was exposed for 30s and the diaphragm was opened at f/8. You need a tripod, too. Then, you shoot one after another and hope you'll get something :)"
