This is how the Oil Pressure Sensor cable was located. Note that it's rubbing against the coolant hose. This picture is from between the cylinders. The sensor is on the back of the forward cylinder.
Here you can see that the turqoise insulation has worn through.
I used a neoprene fuel hose I had in the garage to protect and insulate the whole cable.
The oil pressure sensor cable connects to the thinner wire in the picture. The other connector is the water temp (guessing!). This picture is from before "insulating" the cable.
Here's the "main" cable partially "insulated".
All insulated! Probably total overkill, but it seems to work.
I've also angled the connector on the sensor so it doesn't touch anything. It was quite difficult to get the cable back in there.
This is the gear sensors. I've disconnected the pins from the connector by using that tiny screwdriver. There's little "things" in the connector and if you lift those away from the pins, you can pull the pin out.
I then folded them back on themselves and put some heat shrink tubing on them.
I then simply used black electrical tape to tape it all up.
And there it is in situ. Partially hiding between the big brown connector and the white/black one to the left.
