Right hand stop in place.
The stops in place; they'll prevent the battery from sliding backwards, and the left one provides the pivot point for the left arm.

Another view of the parts. I'm considering paiting them at some point.

The top view... I need to cut the bolts, I think. And paint it..
The battery wobbled a bit, so I decided to add another bracket.
The new bracket goes from the starter motor to the front of the battery.
Here's the new bracket. It prevents the battery rocking. It does make the whole thing a bit uglier, but to me this has to be function over form.
A larger view.
I painted the parts 3 layers (would have loved to do 4 or 5, but I ran out of time). I cooked them in the oven to harden the paint. The smell was "lovely".
Another pic of the bits in the oven.
I used a baking tray (or whatever the technical term is), covered it in foil and sprayed the bits with satin black.
The painted final bits.
Painted, final configuration, in situ. I'm quite proud.
There we are - Sadly one of the nyloc nuts are on a trip somewhere in the bike's frame - I hope it's not going somewhere dangerous. Therefore the nut furthest from the camera is a 'normal' nut.
Another pic. One might ask why I painted it in black. Well first of all, black is cool, second of all, bragging isn't. Leaving it shiny silvery would be bragging, whereas black is as close to factory as I can get in my tiny garage.
Fitted and connected.
Fitted and connected; another view.
Tank's on; plenty of space. :)
And that's the recovered space; perfect for gadgets!! :)
That's how the positive terminal is extended and protected. (Red filters are Evoluzione Cycle Sport)
