Strolling past Tribeca Park in my neighberhood last week, I noticed two piano's..
Here is the "Hamilton" piano that was scuffed, scratched, weathered,, no artist had worked on it,, yet. Except for the blue area where you place the sheet music.
I started at 7pm,, and got two coats painted by 9. Benjamin Moore Orange.. I left the blue area, where another artist had started to paint, untouched.
Spent much of the afternoon painting the design on the outside of the piano..
I used the surrounding architectural and organic elements as visuals for the design.
a lot of people walk thru the park and the pianos are rarely empty.
I took these pictures of these three.. two at the piano and the guy standing is singing.. great voice.. all three were obviously pro's.
Morning of July 4th... I'm drawing on the key cover, the final piece and some other small incidentals.
Great setting, little Tribeca Park,, :-)
