Sheffield FC Gala Dinner 2009
Sheffield FC's 152nd birthday Annual Dinner proved to be a successful affair at Baldwin's Omega last night. Representatives from all areas of the club, it's sponsors, supporters and players past and present, dined and danced the night away, to celebrate not only the club's birthday, but also the announcements of a move back into Sheffield to Olive Grove and the proposed installation of a Ball of Steel monument to celebrate two events in Sheffield and the nation's history: the invention of Stainless Steel and the brth and home of The World's First Football Club - Sheffield FC.
Following a successful auction of items of memorabilia including: a pair of signed Didier Drogba football boots, a signed Manchester United football, and the services for a day of ex club manager Dave McCarthy and his assistant Lee Walshaw, the guests were free to chat and dance the night away.
