Douglas A26 B Invader restoration
In 2005, the two engines of the Invader were laid down for restoration for static display. It means corrosion was cleaned and coats of protection were applied. But the engine was not maintained for fllight. From April, 21th, the team prepare to install back the first restored engine. Note the crane and energy supply unit are from 1940's vintage. On April 28th, the engine and propellers are back mounted on the Invader. In 2010, the lower turrett was reassembled and Vincent painted the propellor hubs. On February 5th, 2011, thanks to Etienne, Luc, Eric & Marc the machine guns were installed in the lower turrett completing the restoration started in 1997 by Jean Moulin.
