Moonlit Bird Island - Marin Headlands CA - Nov 18 2005
Moonlit Point Bonita Lighthouse - HDR
Sigma 24mm at f2.8 (wide open) on Canon 350D (The Rebel XT dies with other aperatures on this lens.) Very sharp. Some blue/uv saggital chromatic abberation. The lens is hard up against the infinity stop in manual focus mode, and needs to be jiggled to get there.
Moonlit Point Bonita from Kite Hill Bunker - 2005 HDR
Moonlit Point Bonita and Black Sands Beach
Bird Island - Point Bonita - Marin headlands - Full Moon
Grace Cathedral Labyrinth - foglit
Taken with Sigma 24mm f2.8 wide open (because it can't stop down) on a Canon 350D. Sixteen bracketed exposures ranging from 1/500 sec to 2 minutes. Linearized using a custom algorithm. Tone mapped using a blend of multiple methods. Sharpened. No retouching or nonglobal manipulation. Taken at the tail end of a thunderstorm moving off NW over the city.
This is an early bracketed exposure, later combined into HDR. San Gregorio Beach (IIRC)
Mussel Rock Cave - Daly City, CA - HDR Color Infrared - May 2 2005 - by Ed Anderson w/ Coolpix 995 mod
This was my first experiment in HDR imaging, used to develop a unique linearization algorithm. Eighteen bracketed images ranging from 1/2 sec to 3 minutes taken from my roof with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 on October 10, 2003. (Some highlights were lost due to overexposure in the dimmest scan, which should have been around 1/500 sec.)
SF-Chroma-Layers. An experiment during development of the HDR linearizing algorithm. Each pixel is selected from the layer with the best color saturation, without any luminance correction. Taken with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 that was still state-of-the-art in 2003.
