Tsunami over the years
Tsunami, owned by Don Hayes, was one of the original six member boats of the Lake MIchigan Beneteau 40.7 Fleet. That was in April 2011 at the first fleet meeting at Burnham Harbor. 2009 was Tsunami's last year.
Over the years Tsunami was one of the most competitive of boats in the fleet. LMSRF Best 40.7 on Lake Michigan in 2007 (and 3rd in 2006 & 2002); 1st place Boat of the Year Buoy in 2002 and 2007 (2nd place 2004, 2005, 2006 and 3rd in 2002); 2nd place at the NOOD in 2002, 2006, and 2007; 1st place Verve Cup (2007) and 2nd place in 2008; Columbia Colors Regatta 1st place 2004, 2006, and 2007. 3rd place in the 2004 Chicago to Mackinac Race. 2007 was Tsunami's year when she won all buoy series and every major buoy regatta.
