Spring Break 2006: Cinque Terre
If you couldn't guess by the number of pictures taken here, this was one of the most beautiful places on our trip. The weather for March 11 called for rain, but Cique Terre seemed immune to everything but blue sky, green terraces, and cliffs dropping off into the ocean. Cinque Terre is actually a string of 5 towns along the coast. We hiked along the coast from the 1st to the 4th. Unfortunately the trail from between the 4th and 5th towns was closed, so we settled for the train. After a well-earned lunch and short nap on the beach, we wandered the streets of Monterosso and hiked up one of the town's cliffs for the sunset.
