On the way to El Chalten they usually stop you at a tiny little cafe stop where the farm animals just love to roam the house and greet the tourists.

This is the moonrise over Patagonia as seen from El Chalten. I took 16 shots, and this turned out the best of all.

My intended route from here was to cross onto the middle section of rock just to the right of the center of the picture. I saw that the least steep approach headed up a short section of what I hoped would be snow to traverse to the right and up to the summit block.
However, as it turns out, the section of snow was in fact ice that took me 3 chops of an ice axe to get presence with the pick. Not having any crampo
