Holehird Gardens, Windermere
The 17 acre hillside gardens at Holehird include a great variety of planting - specimen trees and shrubs, extensive rock and heather gardens, a walled garden, alpine houses and herbaceous borders. The gardens are managed by The Lakeland Horticultural Society which exists to promote the art, science and practice of horticulture, with particular reference to conditions in the Lake District.
