The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is an emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus. It is almost 2.5° long on the sky and, because of its very low surface brightness, it is extremely difficult to observe visually. It lies at a distance of about 1,000 light years from Earth.
My telescope for guiding, Canon EOS 450D camera connected to Laptop, Laptop controlled by my Mobile which inturn controlled the camera. It was a fantastic experience :)
Orion, Taurus, Sirus. Barnard look visible.
Why are the lower left stars trailing towards right corner, while the lower right stars trailing to left corner ???
Why are the lower stars trailing upwards, while the right corner stars trailing to left ???
