Rolling Stones In Hyde Park, July 5, 1969
A historical concert. Brian Jones had died a few days prior to this concert, and what was intended to be the largest concert in Rock History ended up being a memorial to his memory. I was a youth of 17 summers when took these pictures. I lied and told them I was a photographer for Eye Magazine. (Which was already defunct by the time I used this transparent ruse, but they let me in the press enclosure anyway!) Paul McCartney was in the audience, along with many others. Until Woodstock a few weeks later, it was the largest rock concert in history.
