2010 Soccer Ball Project
This project was talked about last year, a kind of joking challenge to see what we could do with mosaics for 2010. It has turned out to be an amazing piece of work .... put together by a bunch of talented, patriotic and excited mosaic enthusiasts. Each piece of the soccer ball represents a truly South Africa piece of culture. Being from Jo'burg I came up with the crazy idea of the Jozi skyline coming out of the top of the ball, then we said it needs to rotate ... and we pulled it off. Ponte and the Joburg tower look amazing, our concrete jungle on top of our beautiful landscapes and natural heritage.
