en route to Surathkal: July 2005. We always drove to college at the beginnings of the odd semesters.
Driving through the Ghats. July 2005. Back when the roads were motorable...
Room 239 VII Block. October 7 2005. Octobers and Novembers threw up some brilliant colours.
Morning at Edukameri which I was fortunate to see thanks to AK's blanket. Moral of the story: never lend anyone half your blanket.
Series of pictures from Yana: First trek with the gang! Most memorable... Celestial spiders? Tintin anyone?
RS! There's another similar pose from Wayanad without the mountain and much else...
The first of my silhouette pictures...
Series of pictures from the bicycle trip to Agumbe: signpost where we decided to take a "short" detour to take a look at Marwanthe beach shortly after midnight.
Scene: middle of state highway. Was the lowest point in the trip I think... just felt like throwing the bikes aside and taking a bus home. Sorry Bhateem :P
I just love this picture. Long road snaking up and nothing in sight...
Resting after nth hairpin during climb to Agumbe from Someshwara... we met some strange and wonderful creatures along the way.
Series of pictures from the first trip to Tadiyandmol. Picture taken by the driver to Abbe Falls.
I have to give it to Kantha.. he did get some nice pictures
Tenting halfway to Tadi... the tents are in the picture too. Famously, at 1020 that night, "my" tent seen at the edge of the picture would give kai.
And he supposedly didn't pose.
Haha, little does it suspect the evil plans that are afoot, as it takes a moment to ponder its own rattrap.
Series of pictures from the CSI trip to Burude falls. We lose our way!
Awesome falls! That was the second stage of the falls.
Nagendra showed us the lower stages of the falls and we knew we were coming back to do those!
A revisit to Agumbe. Kanth looking extremely impressive. That was funny though, all those cucumber vendors shouting abuse at him from above and Kanth of course not understanding a word and trying to look dignified. This was nothing of course compared to his great 'crossing' of the ditch.
Our very own Monroe. Nothing more to be said.
Can you recognize the silhouettes?
Ah that beautiful day. I remember there was a CSI fest on that day and we ditched it to go the beach and what a day! Pictures, courtesy Bacat. I actually went there with Prajeesh and met up with Bila, Sawan and Tabac. Just a sampling of pictures.
The lucky ones.
I have never seen more beautiful colours at any beach.
Last month in college.. went to the beach almost every morning. Heh. Wake up at 5 odd, walk over to fourth block for essential duties and away to the beach. Don't think I was as regular before or since!
Haha. This reminds me of a still from jungle book with Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera walking in the distance. Of course it is left to you to decide who is who :P
Awesome spray from Bennehole. This was the closest I could take the camera and expose the lens. There is that crazy video taken later of course using Shreyas as the shield, but this was one place where we didn't even think of getting in.
Chandru. We won't forget.
Didn't expect it to look that impressive. But that second trip to Burude was worth it. Actually got to climb down the lower stages of the falls. This was the highest stage though. Was inaccessible the first time.
Bila in three forms. Coorg. The first morning when we stopped to freshen up. Bila makes a point.
My camera had some water in it then which is why the pic is blue :) but it is a lovely pic. Canyons all the way down.
Elephants in dubare forest reserve. That day was excellent.. Nisargadhama was ok.. walk in the park.
The kid at dabbe falls.. He showed us around the falls and before that he took us home and got us fruits. I hadn't tasted some of those before. NK specials I guess. Nakshatra neerilehannu was one and there was another very ripe, yellow one that his grandmother gave us. Remember names anybody?
The "door" man. At dabbe again.. we had tea with him.
Bilikal Betta. Sitting on the rock watching it rain in the distance.
