My cozy kitchen in the snow.
My street at 7AM.
There used to 3 trees here. Now there is just 1.
Initial attempt to get to the driveway. (pick-axe is for scale and zombie defense)
My power line looking very precarious.
Mark attempts to free the power lines. I dial 9-1 and hover finger over last 1.
Mark up to his butt in snow.
Mark attacks snow drift with hacksaw (but is safe from zombies).
Power lines freed!
11:30AM is no improvement over 7AM.
Yeah, I'm getting out this year. Sure...
Mark is not even pretending his truck is getting out.
If I do get my car out, I have to get through the trees that used to stand up.
My street is more useful when it isn't just a 6" wide track down the middle of a 2' drift.
My street doesn't look any better up the hill than down.
Apparently snow does keep the mail service from their appointed rounds. Mail was canceled today.
Sorry Planet Earth, it might be a while until we can recycle again.
Final total against the sliding door on the deck - 11"
Final total on the deck was 28" but it got compacted to 25"
One seriously pissed of squirrel.
Another seriously pissed off squirrel.
Seriously pissed off squirrel heads for shelter.
The deck.
Fetching hat on the garage light.
Half an hour after the snow stopped, the sun came out and the sky turned blue, as if Mother Nature was mocking us.
So-called path to our front porch.
Backyard sunset.
Sunset over snowpocalypse.
Looks pretty, but don't let it fool you.
