Fort Tryon Park Flowers and Bees
These pictures were taken in Fort Tryon Park which is in Northern Manhattan. The park is a peaceful, attractive and generally under-appreciated resource in New York City. It is home to a rather attractive garden which served as the source for most of these pictures.

The event was a fundraiser organized by the club to help defray costs from water damage due to a fire in the building. Many interesting folks sat in and jammed. A good time was had by all.

Riverside Hawks
These Red-Tailed hawks live in Riverside Park in NYC. The main character is a baby 2.5 months old,and features mom, a rat and a mocking bird. The baby hawk is the only one of 3 siblings to survive. I believe the other 2 were hit by cars.

ICP Live in NYC
A concert by the Instant Composers Orchestra in New York City. This is a Dutch band that has been together for almost 40 years. Most of the 10 musicians have played with this ensemble for 20 or more years. They play a unique blend of freely improvised jazz with more traditional forms covering the gamut of styles. Humor is an essential ingredient in the mix. It was a great evening of music.

Green Heron and Other Things
I saw the Green Heron in the Upper Lobe of Central Park. At first, he was perched on a rock and was nearly invisible. It's remarkable how he can seemingly transform his size and shape by extending his neck to various degrees. I was really captivated by this bird.
