Right near the flat is statue of a mother and toddler, or it could be an abduction scene...not sure
This is a store on Bethal green that caught my eye. Bethal Green is the main drag in the neighborhood
We came out of the Tube station and someone put this clock in our way
The eye on London. In front are a couple of Jackasses who wouldn't get out of are way.
Big Ben
Around Parlament inside the fences there are these lamps with crowns on top. A little over the top don't you think?
From this view you can see that Big Ben is actually attached to the Paralament building.
We found some Imperial Storm Troopers near the Aquarium.
James Bond marks the entrace to buy tickets for the Eye on London ride.
This is one the pods on the eye. It holds 20 some odd people.
It takes about half hour to go around.
That white boat looked interesting. I don't know what it is.
That's the Aquarium were we saw the storm troopers.
That's a neat train station. It was in the James Bond movie "The world is not enough" (At least I think it was)
Its a bad picture but you see the odd building that looks like a space ship? The locals call it the Glass Gherkin! (pickle). Its on the east side of london so it makes a good landmark if you are far away.
In the center of the picture is a famous domed buiding designed by a guy named Wren a really long time ago after some big fire that burned a large section of the city.
In the front you see Big Ben and behind it is Westminster Abbey.
Nice view of the river Thames. Now that puts the Charles to shame when it comes to Dirty Water.
There's the Queens house!
The back side of Parlament.
There is a nice bench in the middle of the pod incase you need to take rest or feed a baby.
These people just keep following me around. I loose them for about 8 hours a day while I'm at work but that's it.
Finally I got the whole Paralament building in one shot.
We are not even at our highest point yet but as you can tell its pretty high.
From across the river I got a nice shot of Big Ben
I purposly cut morgan out of the picture. Yeah that's it.
It was very windy
Right out of shot is a post card stand that accepts US dollars. Luckily I still had some.
Westminster Abbey
Nice shot of the flying buttresses which allow for the large windows in the abbey.
The entrace for tourists. It costs 10 pounds so instead we went into the church next to it for free.
Here is that church next to the Abbey.
St. James park is open to the public and spans from the Abbey to Buckingham Palace. Notice the tree is flowering and its January.
There is nice little pond with a stream. There are also ducks, geese, and fat squirels who are used to being feed.
This Goose was not shy.
There were some Pelicans
These idiot are feeding a squirel, In my opinion they should all be shot. Idiots and squirels alike.
There is a playground right near the front of Buckingham palace. You can see through the trees.
Some o'l lady lives here part of the year.
This statue is right in front of the main gate
It says The Diana Princess of Whales Memorial Walk. It leads up to the palace. I'm not sure were it starts.
The main gate
There I am with Gwen in the mia wrap. 99.9% of the brits use a buggy (stroller). The problem is there are stairs everywhere.
We came on the wrong day for the changing of the guard. I think we will manage to come again to see that cermony.
Most brits wear black or grey clothes so Morgan stands out a little.
This is a statue of a women breastfeeding in front of the palace.
From the statue there is a nice view of the eye on london were our day started.
Queen Victoria
Was it really necessary to include the Lions testicals in the statue.
Oh put some pants on already you little bugger!
This jerk up front on the cell phone wouldn't get out of the way. Damn american tourists! Its Trafalgar sq.
Morgan wanted to go into the phone booth. She said it smelled like pee. We made her wash up real good when we got back to the flat.
Outside the art museam at Trafalgar sq there was a guy with some chalk. I wanted to give him some US coins I had left over. Katie said that would be rude.
