OBX-Prerun

We are considering having a HUMMER event to the Outer Banks this summer so this was the pre-run quick trip to get information and photo-ops. We camped in the tent on Saturday night but by Sunday morning it was 38 degrees with a 30mph wind blowing so it was really really cold. Ended up sleeping the rest of the hours in the truck since the tent couldn't handle that much wind.

2008 Michigan Snow Run - Grayling Michigan

January 17-19, 2008. 9th Annual HUMMER Snow Run, Camp Grayling National Guard Base, Grayling Michigan USA. It took 17 hours one way to drive here from our house. It was a lot of fun and it was really neat to see the truck work in such cold air temps. I think the "hottest" it got was around 12 F. The night run shots were -15 F with the wind chill. Brrrrr

Big upgrade weekend

During the "Big Upgrade Weekend of 2007, the task was to install the 12k Electric Warn Winch, the lightbar with 6 hella work lamps, the Rubberduck switch panel, the steel rock tubes on the rocker panels and the rear backup lights. Also Kristina worked on the wire wheel to get the rust off of the rock rims and repaint. The project ended up taking about a week to finish up all the work

Antonov 225 at RDU

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-225 I took a couple of hours off of work to see the monstrous Antonov AN-225 land at RDU in the afternoon. The sky was overcast and there was some light rain at times. The time was in the afternoon and it was landing from the NE on runway 23R. My location was on the top deck of the main parking garage. This was before the new terminal was built.
