The day started out with us working for an hour to get CP's truck unstuck from some very soft sand. This definitely got the blood flowing.
Totally sweet camp near the head of the West Fork of Blue John Canyon.
You mean there's something interesting out there?
After a couple of miles of overland hiking we were dropping into the canyon.
JV, Susan and Aron get into the down climbing groove of things.
It's quite narrow and dark in a few spots. Later, in one dark stretch, some of us used headlamps to move through.

Person perfect sculpting by the water.
Enjoying a break in the slots in a huge alcove area.
This pothole was a bear to get into. Very awkward down climbing using the webbing and foot strap.
At the end of the narrows of the canyon it just drops 85 feet into this beautiful amphitheater. Joe raps in to check it out.

The exit wall is a short, steep section with carved Moki steps to the right of this alcove here.

Looking down the exit wall.
We got out just as the sun set. This was cool because the light was fabulous.
The Henry Mountains at sunset.
Big ups! Back at the car after a great day.
