Me finishing the race in Riverside Park, Salida.
Yes, I wore my gloves the whole race! It was a chilly start, 27 degrees, so light gloves and a light long-sleeved shirt were great to start. At about mile 6 I shed the long sleeve shirt but the gloves stayed on.
Finishing! I ran a 3:38:31 which put me in fourth overall and first in the 30-39 age group.
Bill wrapping up his run. Bill ran a 4:09:03. We both felt surprisingly good after the run.
Steve Nicholls finishing the marathon.
This is Salida. Man, it's beautiful.
At camp at Penitente Canyon on Saturday evening.
Allison relaxing at camp before...
"Warming up" on a unnamed 5.10d climb in the main canyon.
This unnamed climb is one climb to the right of "Mysterious Redhead" and the two are often confused.
Gorgeous day in the canyon.
Allison getting to climb through the crux.
Almost there.
Bill's turn on the same climb.
It's a fun climb. Starts out easy and then gets really thin feet.
My turn too!
Bill starting the 5.10b "That's the Way"
Allison on "That's the Way", 5.10b
Now me.
Starting "Los Hermanos De La Weenie Way", 5.11c.
