RAF 1946 North Germany
Peter Coleman's prints. These are taken in north Germany and are marked 1946. These had brief descriptions inked on the back. These are the earliest pictures of his so I assume that he got his first camera for this tour of duty. Germany has the scars of war in the form of wrecked ships, bridges, aircraft and bomb damaged buildings. Many of these images are at RAF airfields and on the roads in between. Of particular historical interest are the Berlin checkpoints, the Reichschancellery, the Fúhrerbunker, Klopstock spy school and the terrible story behind Pichelsdorf bridge.
