A day in the life.....(Surgery Edition Not for the faint hearted)
About 6 years ago, I was involved in a motorcycle accident where I attempted to stop a car with my leg at 60mph. Needless to say, my leg lost the battle and during my time in the ER I had a rod and screws installed down the center of my Tibia. Since then, I've enjoyed the time with my wolverine style leg minus the phantom beeps I get when passing through metal detectors. Recently though, the rod became a bit dislodged and started rising out of my Tibia which in turn started pressing on my knee tendons and cap from underneath. It wasn't pretty to see and started to restrict any movement from that leg. Obviously my decision was an easy one, it was time for the rod and me to part ways. Being thousands of miles away from my doctor back in Austin, I opted for surgery here in Ukraine. I post these pics now from my hospital bed trying to get my mind off the several shots of antibiotics in my ass (ugh, why can't they use an IV like a normal hospital.....these are painful and cause me to
