20 minutes of which 3 minutes light inside the tent and 2 minutes of tree painting with LED headlamp. I have another 20 minute connecting trials but not sure longer trails make a better picture..
Pointed north, 20 minutes with some tree painting
Owl Canyon near Barstow, CA has weird structures on the BLM campground.
Bryce Canyon, UT
Max star test: iso 3200, f/1.4 focussed on stars. Note the coma in the corners. It's wasn't particularly clear (no milkyway in your face), but this registered more stars than my eye. I need a 24mm f/1.4..
Owl Canyon again. The other tent. Still only lit from the inside, looks front-lit here.

Sonora Pass, 9600ft, new moon. Testing the new 24 f/1.4. No, that's not a cloud; it's called the Milky Way, our galaxy.
Back at the tent at ~6000ft, straight up through the trees.
Up in the White Mountains near Patriarch Grove. I ran with white LED headlamp behind the tent and Kai swirled his Android with color flashing app around.
Random stop sign in the middle of nowhere at 11000 feet. Lit by the moon.
The road to White Mountain Peak. It was pretty dark.
Kai trying to scare the cows, swirling a flashy Android and a light
Clouds and stars. Timelapse movie here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir2ISR-XjD4
Going for Perseids at Mount Hamilton, CA. The streak at the bottom is one. Frame is part of timelapse at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr1c1eFtCyI
Another Perseid, above a plane streak. No, they did not travel at the same speed..
And another one, exiting the frame on the right. They all seem to start out greenish? Lots of glare entering the frame from the rising moon..
This satellite flare-up poses as Perseid. Actually used the 40d in parallel to take longer exposures, most of time it gets brought along but never used..
Upper Young Lake

Lit with color emitted by phone. 8 seconds, f/1.4, iso 3200. Not super happy with the noise and lack of depth of field. I'll try stacking two shots next time. Pretty dramatic though.
Beached turtle, lit by the moon.
