15 whales die but 50 saved at Port Levy Jan 2010
Residents of a tiny Banks Peninsula settlement have saved a pod of whales beached in a mass stranding. Port Levy residents and holidaymakers worked in cold seas and calf-high mud for four hours yesterday to refloat the whales after the village woke to find over 60 pilot whales had run aground on the foreshore. Fifteen females and calves died, but the rescuers managed to refloat and save about 50 whales.

The skipper has 4 months on board with 2 Kids & the dog!
4 months travel on board our Ganley tara 39' yacht. She took 18 months to re-fit!, great family fun. We traveled from Lyttelton to Picton to Havelock to French Pass to Nelson to Tasman & Back - Dudley Jackson - Sailing instructor

Charity Race 2008 - Good Point
The annual Naval Point's club race in Lyttelton Harbour, over $35,000 was raised this day, crew paid $250 a head to take part! We had four passengers, Hosts Peter & Dudley

Skippers first yacht in New Zealand
This was our first yacht in NZ, a large volume trailer yacht, the cost of this was about half of a Noelex 25 & we had more room, however geting her around the cans was a different story
