Even by 8:30 in the morning a bunch had come down since last time.
Later that day a lot more had been demolished.
I like the bent structural steel hanging down. It's as if it is weeping for the rest of the structure. Or maybe not.
We can now see most of the smokestack from up the hill. This hasn't been the case for a very long time, if ever.
First of a few views from downhill. Note the pipe sticking through the roof on the left.
Note the brick arch in the basement wall.
Unfortunately there is no sign of the Mercedes that was in the basement.
During demolition the operator was using this beam, held in the jaws of the machine, as a plow.
Note the brickwork, again.
The pipe, formerly running horizontally along the ceiling, has punctured the roof as it collapsed, bending the pipe in the process, but not ripping it
Pretty brickwork again.
Light shining through into the upper level.
